Hillwood Animal Hospital was purchased by Dr. Evan M. Blair on January 1, 2003. In 2004 the hospital was renamed Blair Animal Hospital. Since taking over, Dr. Blair and his staff have been on a neverending exodus to make Blair Animal Hospital one of the best animal hospitals as well as establish a reputation in the community with providing quality care and an impeccable preventative heath care program in a family-type atmostphere.
Aside from the obvious changes of an immaculate and well-maintained office, all of the medical equipment has been upgraded. Anesthetic monitors, ultrasonic dental scalers and polishers, Sterilization units, anesthesia compressors, pediatric icubators, operating facilities, radiographic processors (just to name a few) are state-of-the-art. To quote Sussie, one of our technicians, "I feel like I am working in the Beverly Hills of animal hospitals."
Along with small companion animals, we also specialize in Avians and exotics.
Our boarding facilities have been revamped to where pets now relax on comfortable towels instead of newspapers. Toys and extended playtime are some of the added luxeries for our boarding friends. We also offer onsite grooming for your pet as well.
We are currently designing and building exercise runs, play pens. and a canine jacuzzi in our newly fenced-in exercise area. Hopefully by the end of the summer we will have webcams installed so "parents" can check on their "babies" from anywhere in the world.
As a dog trainer and dog behaviorist, Edel Miedes of K9 ADVISORS, a professional dog training school that does in-home obedience dog training and K9 protection dog training in South Florida, supports animal hospitals such as this one. |
